COG Walks to End Alzheimer's September 25, 2016 September 26, 2016 Adam Klinger On Sunday, September 25th 2016 the COG Family got together to support the "Walk to End Alzheimer's" annual event. With nearly 3,000 participants and 348 teams the event was able to raise 110% of its goal! Here are some photos of our team from this year's event. Special thanks to Farrynn Sheridan who helped organize COG's participation in this worthy cause. It doesn't take long to think of someone in our lives affected by the disease. Click here to learn what it takes to start your own team for the next Walk to End Alzheimer's. We're looking forward to next year! Every moment is a senior moment here at COG! The crew assembles before the journey begins. Dr. Weigand with his wife Jan. Always hip to the latest trends, I'm guessing Nila's playing Pokemon Go... Dr. Vado inspects her spinning flower... Strollers permitted! Caryn and her family came out for the walk too. The route will take walkers 1.25 miles. That means fundraising gathered ~$83 for every foot traveled at the Central Ohio Event! More than 600 communities nationwide participate in the event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support, and research. Thank-you to the participants and donors who supported Team COG. In all we had 29 participants and raised $3,465!
